この教科書の特徴は，教科書の文字を合成音声が正確に読み上げてくれることと，合成音声で読み上げ中のページから原本教科書のイメージを表示することができることです。
The feature of this teaching material is that the synthesized speech automatically reads the text of the textbook correctly and it can display the image of the original textbook.
したがって，音声を聞いている最中に，教員が「２５ページの上の図を見てください。」とリクエストした時に，すぐさまその要求に応えることができます。
Therefore, while listening to the synthesized speech, if the teacher requests "Please look at the diagram on page 25", you can respond immediately.
利用者は，この教材の文字を選択して，その選択した文字を直接辞書で引くことができます。
The user can select the text of this textbook and search the dictionary for the meaning of the word.
対象は，発達障害等で印刷文字の読み取りに困難のある小学生，中学生および高校生です。
The subjects are primary school children, junior high school students and high school students with print disabilities such as developmental disorders.
この教材を利用したい人は，iPadとUDブラウザというアプリを準備してください。
In order to use this textbook, the user needs to prepare an app called UD browser and an iPad.

こんにちは、町田市立本町田東小の金子です。
3年の児童に文字、画像付き音声教材を使わせてあげたいです。拡大教科書を使っていますが、読み書きに、困難があります。マルチメディアデイジー教科書をiPad で使っていますが、本人いわく「どんどん読んでしまって、止まってくれない」そうです。操作が未熟ということもありますが、読んでほしいところや、もう一度聞きたいセンテンスがあっても、そこだけ読んでもらのは難しいです。
以前音声ペンと、音声データ付きの教科書を茨城大学の先生から紹介されて使ったことがありました。それは、。までのワンセンテンスごとに何度でも聞いて真似して読めるので、そこがやはりよかったです。ただ、教科書が改訂されるたびに専用の音声データ付きの教科書が必要なので、対象児には使えません。そういうわけで、とても楽しみにしています。
